Air polish
An air polish is used to gently remove deep staining on or between the teeth using a specialist instrument that uses high pressure air/water and a fine powder. It is often used prior to any tooth whitening to ensure the best result however some patient like to have this done as part of their 6 monthly checkup to fully remove any stains.
An air polish offers enhanced stain removal compare to a scale and polish because the air/water and power can penetrate deeper in between the teeth to fully remove stains.
