Sam graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Commendation from the University of Glasgow and subsequently worked in the city’s West End for five years before joining as a Partner in Strathbungo Dental.
Shortly after qualifying Sam completed the diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons England, and then subsequently became a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow. Sam has worked hard to improve his skillset across multiple disciplines in dentistry and has completed several postgraduate training courses UK-wide. In 2020 Sam completed a comprehensive year long programme in Cosmetic and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry with Advanced Dental Seminars, and then in 2022 he completed a further advanced course in Mastering Aesthetics and Function: Advanced Occlusion & Comprehensive Treatment Planning (Advanced Dental Seminars).
He has also completed a postgraduate certificate in operative dentistry with Tipton Training and a 10-day Endodontics (root canal) programme with SimplyEndo. Sam is also an Invisalign provider.
Sam is a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD)
As well as his time in practice, Sam also works for the University of Glasgow as a Clinical Teaching Fellow, where he teaches and supervises the undergraduate dental students. He also delivers seminars to newly qualified dentists in their VT programme.
Outside of dentistry Sam enjoys golfing, skiing, tennis, playing the piano and spending time with friends and family.
